How do you move people with games?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Voldoende bewegen is een belangrijke voorwaarde voor een gezond, lang en gelukkig leven. Toch lukt het veel mensen niet om aan de dagelijkse portie lichaamsbeweging te komen. Toegenomen schermtijd wordt vaak aangewezen als belangrijke factor. With this in mind, we created the project “Young and old on the move with virtual reality. Students get to work with the elderly using exercise games in virtual reality. First, of course, they undergo training on how to use these games. Then the students offer a helping hand in the use of the VR sets by the elderly. An enriching and active experience for both generations! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n \n \n<\/div>\n

We previously developed in collaboration with Social Gold Foundation<\/strong><\/a> and Lars Veldmeijer (NHL Stenden) a virtual reality game that allows elderly people to reminisce. We saw then that it is exciting for the elderly to discover new technology, but that excitement quickly turns into pleasure when a helping hand is offered. Again, we asked Social Gold to handle the contact with students and the elderly. We took care of the technology: installing the glasses and giving workshops to the students. What fun! <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
