We approach each project with an open mind, avoiding a premature commitment to a specific intervention form. In collaboration with end users and stakeholders, we first explore which creative approach will have the greatest impact. A key consideration throughout this process is the implementability of the intervention. Are end users both able and willing to engage with this form? This focus on adaptability explains the variety of interventions in our portfolio, which is still evolving. Learning about AI through play

Creative science communication

AI is influencing our society in ever more ways, which is why it is essential that children understand how this technology works from an early age. 8D is developing a modular teaching programme that brings AI to life through interactive games. The programme can be used in various settings, such as festivals, museums or (mobile) classrooms. By linking game elements to recognisable situations in a fictional hospital, pupils discover how AI makes decisions, where things can go wrong, and what human choices are involved. It encourages critical thinking, curiosity and an understanding of the ethical, legal and social aspects of AI.
